- Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 p.a. depending on experience.

Our client is actively looking for an enthusiastic Specifications & Technical Administrator to join their friendly and driven Technical Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop strong skills or join the food manufacturing industry while playing a key role in delivering safe, consistent, high-quality products to their customers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
The role is broken up into two parts: administration and checking the process flow and procedures within the factory.
Responsibilities will include:
- Document all information on their system with the Technical department in reference to customer orders.
- Conduct thorough traceability checks to ensure all raw materials, processes and finished products can be accurately tracked throughout the factory.
- Ensuring the factory can track where all the ingredients have come from and where they went to, and the amounts used.
- Overseeing the internal audit schedule assigning, monitoring, and conducting audits.
- Preparing samples and sending them to external laboratories.
- Ensuring products meet standards for positive release, issuing Certificates of Analysis/Conformance and uploading these to the system.
- Reporting to the team if lab tests show something isn’t right.
- Working closely with customers, responding to queries and technical requests.
- Assisting with customer specifications and documentation.
- Reviewing and signing off production paperwork, maintaining accurate records.
- Updating and maintaining supplier approval information.
What You’ll Need to Bring:
- A strong administrative background with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Great organisation skills and the ability to prioritise.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
- Due to the nature of their business, for hygiene reasons, employees are not permitted to wear false nails, nail varnish or false eyelashes whilst at work.
- A full UK Driving licence with your own transport to enable you to get to and from their location.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications (but not essential!):
- Level 2 Food Safety training
- Level 2 Health & Safety training
- Basic HACCP understanding
- Internal auditing training
- Awareness of environmental & sustainability principles.
